Limitations of Telemedicine

- Some conditions may require in-person evaluation
- Emergency situations require immediate in-person care
Patient Responsibilities
By using our telemedicine services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete medical history and information
- Have a stable internet connection and functioning device with camera
- Be in a private location during your appointment
- Follow all treatment recommendations and report any concerns
- Seek emergency care when appropriate (telemedicine is not for emergencies)
Privacy and Security
We use HIPAA-compliant technology platforms for all telemedicine services. Your health information is encrypted during transmission. However, as with any electronic communication, there is some risk of breach. We take all reasonable steps to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Informed Consent
By using our telemedicine services, you acknowledge that you have read this disclaimer, understand the nature and limitations of telemedicine, and consent to receiving healthcare services via telemedicine. You understand that you may withdraw this consent at any time.
Geographic Restrictions
PeakHealth MT is currently licensed to provide telemedicine services only to residents of Montana. You must be physically located in Montana at the time of your telemedicine appointment. We are working to expand to additional states in the future.
Emergency Situations
Telemedicine is NOT appropriate for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
